Day 4 I think? Besure to look at the previous posts!
¡Antonio El Tigre!
Some locals kickin it poolside
Simmer down PETA, I let him go
Ghetto
This place is a nearby fishery. The aroma was spectacular to say the least.
High voltage, electric fences are very common around here.
Wait for it.....
I know. I laughed also. The sign below says "walk on water"
Windsurfing beach. This was the end of the day and my camera battery was dying, I would have taken more pictures.
Chavez! Chavez! Chavez!
Chavez! Chavez! ...chavez....k im over it
Stray on the beach
These next few pics are of a home that is on the beach that used to be a rehab/spa. The rehab part didnt work to well cause the restaurant down the way sells beer. I think the spa is still operational.
View from top of the house
Mud bathing
Mr. Crab
Restaurant from the ocean.
Local jam session
These mountians are actually really high. Not sure how many feet, but I am told they are 20 degrees cooler at the top.
This is the view from Mocanow Island (island that is connected to Margarita.) The mountains in the background are Margarita Island
Channel in between the islands.
Bridge tow Moconow
There are no "click it or ticket" laws on the island like there are in CA.
The lady that owns this shop let us have a 1/2 pack of ice to fill our cooler the day before and let us return the next day for the rest of the ice and to pay! Thats island living
I almost got kicked out of the market for taking this picture. This is one of a few supermarkets on the island. They really do have almost everything you need, including a pharmacy. Reminded me of Ralphs. I will sneak in some more pictures next week. What is interesting about this market is that they have an entire isle dedicated to hot dogs. Not sausages or specialty hot dogs...just your run of the mill Venezuelan brand hot dogs. There are NO hot dog buns in the store. I had to have some custom made at the bakery. yes i know 'ha, ha.' Its kind of like starting a water bottling company, without caps. "dont spill your drink"
This is the place to do if you are in the mood for carrots and/or buying a small bird.
